The GSM warning device is a unit designed to send short messages (text messages) to GSM mobile phones, once the signal from any external elements to which it is connected is received.
It can be used with any system which needs to send warnings or alarms to mobile phones.
The unit has 4 inputs to activate the sending.
Every input has its own message which can be programmed by the user. The messages can be sent to two telephone numbers (inputs 1 and 2 to one number and 3 and 4 to another one), or all of them to the same number. The unit has to be connected to a GSM modem in order to send messages. This modem can also be used to connect at a distance any of the PROGRES units which have a program to connect to a PC.
The unit is configured through a PC program. This program allows you to write messages, decide the telephone numbers the warnings will be sent to and decide the other configuration commands. Some of the many applications of the GSM warning device are:
§ Using a thermostat, it can alert of the risk of frost.
§ It can alert of the tank levels or of the end of a group of hoppers.
§ It can warn of any anomaly in the field or any happening in the irrigation programmer.
§ It can warn of the opening of doors or windows both at home or at work.
§ Warning of lack of electric current, when it is superior to a programmed time. In this case the unit has to be fed by a battery.
§ Warning by means of alarms in cold stores for fruits, frozen goods, etc.
§ It warns of any incident in our house.
§ It alerts of the fire alarm or any problems which activate an alarm.
§ It alerts of any incidence which has been programmed and/or which you want to know when it happens.
The unit is housed in a hermetic metallic box. A cable is provided to connect it to a GSM modem or a GSM telephone with a PCMCIA card as well as the software for its configuration. |
